Package: locales Version: 2.3.2.ds1-10 Severity: normal The problem is that some programs like for example menu fail to execute when the locale is set to et_EE.
Menu generates following output: --- CUT HERE --- In file "/etc/menu-methods/wmaker", at (or in the definition that ends at) line 10: userprefix="GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker/" ^ Unknown Error install-menu: /etc/menu-methods/wmaker: Aborting update-menus[1265]: Script /etc/menu-methods/wmaker returned error status 1. --- CUT HERE --- If I set the LC_ALL=C the program runs with no problems. (For fun I tried installing different locale lt_LT, this generated no errors either.) There is other programs that have similar problems, one of them is ecasound (and ladspa). When setting locale to C they work again. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux elukas 2.4.22-1-586tsc #5 Sat Oct 4 14:32:35 EST 2003 i586 Locale: LANG=et_EE, LC_CTYPE=et_EE Versions of packages locales depends on: ii debconf 1.3.20 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 [glibc-2.3.2.ds1-10] 2.3.2.ds1-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an -- debconf information: * locales/default_environment_locale: et_EE * locales/locales_to_be_generated: et_EE ISO-8859-1
