Package: timezones Version: 2.0.7.19981211-6 Severity: normal My /etc/timezone is set to US/Central as i appropriate for my region. On Sunday, my location switched to Daylight Savings Time, meaning an advance in the clocks of one hour. Upon the first usage after that, the computer's clock was correctly so advanced. However, after a reboot, the computer's clock was back to the previous settings. This behavior appears to happen every time there is such a time change; it NEVER does it properly automatically.
This machine does at times use NTP. However the bad behavior occurs regardless of whether ntp is in use at a particular time. -- System Information Debian Release: 2.2 Kernel Version: Linux erwin 2.2.15pre5 #1 Sun Feb 13 20:51:24 CST 2000 alpha unknown Versions of the packages timezones depends on: ii libc6.1 2.1.3-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone --- Begin /etc/timezone (modified conffile) US/Central --- End /etc/timezone
