This is similar to what I experience, except that I am using: libc6-2.3.1-16 samba-3.0.0beta2-1.
My system does not lock up. Connecting from windows xp, I got a flurry of messages sent titled segfault in samba in which is reports that the pid in error could not be found. Other than that, all seems normal, I was able to browse files over the network. Connecting from another linux box, the same happened, except that I was then not able to browse files over the network. That system is a gentoo system using libc6-2.3.2-rc1 and samba-3.0.0.0-rc2. Kendall Shaw -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
