Great, it will help us a lot, thanks. It does not seem to be committed, so I cannot check, but please make sure that outdated translations are marked as fuzzy. The easiest solution is to retrieve previous templates file (before modifying locales/locales_to_be_generated, i.e CVS 1.3) and rerun debconf-gettextize after removing debian/po/; then put your changes back and run debconf-updatepo.
