Dear all, For a course on Data Science & GIS the participants were requested to install OpenGeo Suite 4.8 in their own computer system, for the SQL- part of the course (1 day of the 8-days course). The course leader sent us an .exe file. Of course this file is not possible to use in Bullseye in my notebook.
Few internet investigations learns that OpenGeo Suite 4.8 is not maintained for years. For the course the most important part of OpenGeo Suite is PG Admin 4. The course leader wants me to install pgadmin4 anyhow. He suggest to follow instructions on https://www.pgadmin.org/download/pgadmin-4-apt/ . I don't know if the is wise to do that. I followed the instructions, changed the name "Bullseye" into "Buster" in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pgadmin4.list, and run sudo apt update and sudo apt install pgadmin4. Now Sebastiaan Couwenberg suggested - if I really want pgadmin4 in my Bullseye - to setr up buster VM with KVM and virt-manager or virtualbox. I don't know how to do that.
