If GCC stops supporting an option it used to support,
and where the GCC documentation say it’s supported,
it in my opinion very much is an RC bug.
Unfortunately, eller is down so I can’t check whether
this also occurs in gcc-snapshot on mips64el (in which
case it’d likely be an upstream bug).
