Version: 4.4.7-3 Unfortunately my patch (that was working well at the time I wrote and tested it) is no longer fixing the situation. Probably something has changed in the dependency tree and apt now goes for a different solution and continues to hold back gcc-4.4-base instead of removing gcj-4.4 ... I'm now trying to add these Breaks to gcc-4.7-base, that can't be held back, hopefully.
