I've now regression-tested the original patch for mipsisa32r2-sde-elf. I've also regression-tested the attached patch for mips64-elf on 4.2 and 4.1. (The 4.2 version includes the testcase I used for all three runs. I've not forced -EB because that fails for -EL multilibs, and we want this test to work for both anyway.)
