I checked with gcc (1:3.3.2ds3-0pre5) on debussy and it appears that all the problems mentioned are solved. With the example test.c earlier in this buglog, now both gcc -O2 and -O3 output the exact same assembly file, but it looks completly normal due to the nature of the code.
