I thought you might be interested in these 2 bugs:

which detail c++ 3.3.1 causing mozilla's configure script to fail; [if you've not already noticed, that is]. I've seen this with the latest Debian c++ packages (unstable), compiling mozilla from cvs source (not a deb pkg).
It seems to me that mozilla's configure test needs to be re-done, but my mozilla bug has already been closed as invalid (I've just re-opened it).
Wasn't sure whether there was any point logging a Debian bug...
