We have a small community of Debian enthusiasts here in south west coast of India and we are organizing a small event called /debutsav/[1] in association with local FOSS groups. Its a two day event with two parallel track of talks and workshops - one for Debian specific and one for all other FOSS projects. Right now we are in sponsorship requesting phase. I hope some of you in this list have organized or know people who have organized debian related event. If yes were you able get sponsorship from Debian. Does Debian provide sponsorship for such event in upfront. Because we are looking at some fund upfront to meet the expenses of food, t-shirts etc. Please share your thoughts on how to get it done.
