A la mi-février 2012, du 17 au 19, une Bug Squashing Party (BSP ou Hackathon) est organisée dans les locaux d'IRILL [1], à proximité de Place d'Italie à Paris [2]. Le principe d'une BSP est de réunir des contributeurs Debian avec comme objectif de clôturer autant de bugs que possible dans Debian. Cet évènement est aussi l'occasion pour des contributeurs potentiels d'échanger avec des Debian Developers ou Maintainers. En effet, de nombreux contributeurs réguliers seront présents et pourront guider les moins expérimentés pour corriger leurs premiers bugs. Pour des questions d'organisation, une inscription sur le wiki Debian [3] est nécessaire. Pour les non-habitants de la capitale, de nombreux hôtels sont disponibles à proximité des locaux d'IRILL [4].
