Right you are. Looking at
http://screenshots.debian.net/packages/without_screenshots?search=&page=1&debtag=x11%3A%3Aapplication
shows only a small amount of packages w/o screenshot. Aren't screenshots tagged
with versions? Some applications change a lot with versions,
so it could be a good idea to be aware of the version.

Okay, this is the case. But if a screenshot is available, the current
version of the package isn't displayed (only in the upload dialogue),
maybe one could consider to add a button like
"Display out-dated screenshots" beside:
All packages | Packages with screenshots only | Packages without screenshots 
only

...whereas "out-dated" could mean versions don't start with same number, or
upload / image time stamp date is < T - 6 months.
