The golearn program from the goplay package is a very nice way to find interesting educational programs in Debian. It uses debtags to locate packages, and screenshots from <URL: http://screenshots.debian.net/ >.
If you want to make sure the nice educational packages in Debian show up in golearn, please visit <URL: http://debtags.debian.net/edit/tags/use::learning,role::program,- > and make sure the good educational programs you know about show up there. At the moment 115 packages are listed. As far as I can tell from the source, golearn look for packages with the debtags use::learning and role::program set.
