One option is to listen on the network for bootp traffic (port 68 and 69 if I recall correctly) and have wireshark (or tshark) analyze it, to make sure the clients are fed the right set of boot information. Another thing: You mention that one kind of setup works but another doesn't. Is it perhaps one kind of _hardware_ that works and another not? If possible try boot a thinclient as a diskless and vice versa, to see if the problem follows the configuration or the hardware. - Jonas - -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist og Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkjs3mQACgkQn7DbMsAkQLhtRACdHHgeuwYB135hhWWCVNPlLJPg THYAoIYsFX1tOB0SGZMay6uDr2QMWr5h =g0dS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
