Hello, At gentoo we are having problems with dpkg (>= 1.15.5) versions due to the changes introduced in the pure perl version comparison code.
As far as I understand, the problem is that after the move to object comparison, the perl package does not make public/available some helper functions like version_compare nor it is able to use some other functions internally.
