Hi dpkg-Maintainers, I wonder what's going on here since we are running start-stop-daemon with --retries 10. According to the manpage it should wait for the process to finish but this user tells it's not for him...
Any suggestions? Waldemar, can you check the start-stop-daemon
invocation in stop_slurpd and stop_slapd against that? It should look
like this:
reason="`start-stop-daemon --stop --quiet --oknodo --retry 10 \
--pidfile "$SLAPD_PIDFILE" \
--exec /usr/sbin/slapd 2>&1`"
Thanks, Torsten

Hi,
when I add a sleep of 2 seconds into the initscript it works fine.
It is very annoying if you forget this and you think slapd is really
restarted, but it is not.
thanks in advance
Waldemar
