Debian install-info is unable to properly understand the contents of the latest diffutils (2.8) info file. It says: install-info: warning, ignoring confusing INFO-DIR-ENTRY in file. The info file says: START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY Diff: (diff). Comparing and merging files. END-INFO-DIR-ENTRY INFO-DIR-SECTION Individual utilities START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY * cmp: (diff)Invoking cmp. Byte-by-byte diff. * diff3: (diff)Invoking diff3. Three-way diff. * patch: (diff)Invoking patch. Automatically applying diffs. * sdiff: (diff)Invoking sdiff. Interactively merge files. END-INFO-DIR-ENTRY I understand that Debian install-info does not need to be command-line compatible with GNU install-info, but in this case it is the contents of the info file itself what Debian install-info does not understand.
