Why is it bad having a stable kernel installed as default, and
a 2.4-pre kernel, marked as extra, with warning in the long
 description, also in the distribution?

We have traditionally allowed our users to make informed
decisions. I see no reason to change now.

If we can, by all means have an 2.3.xx kernel in devel/extra,
with wanrings, and let those who can use it.

The default can be 2.2.15, or something, that is known to be
 rock solid.
