Package: blas-dev
Package: lapack-dev
The files /usr/lib/libblas.{a,so} are in both packages. Since
lapack-dev was there first, blas1-dev should not use this name. On the
other hand, I like the separation of blas in a separate package. The
lapack maintainer doesn't care about the lapack packages for ages!!!
(more than 20 month). IMHO if the blas1-dev maintainer is willing to
repackage lapack without the blas libs, then he should be allowed to
to it.
Btw, why doesn't the name of the blas-dev package correspond to the
blas package (blas1 --> blas1-dev)?
