Linus is not in the habit of changing past versions. In any case, the claim was that 2.2.7 and 2.2.8 wouldn't have come out because 2.3 kernels were already begun, and that's just plain wrong. If you want to point to maintaining "old" kernels, point to 2.0.36 and friends instead. MfG Kai
