>What are the plans for the official CD? main + contrib fit on one cdrom. so i propose to use the official cdrom as long as possible.
people (not debian) should then create a third cdrom with non-free source + binaries (parts), and maybe other stuff (kde, netscape, whatever you want to include). this solution should be fine for everybody. for discussion, writing scripts/Makefiles, helping each other, we should have a seperate list. several broken cd's (e.g. packages != packages.gz) are a good reason to write checking programs. pointing to the official cdrom is the best solution for most people, but not for everybody. at least i could also need a smarter mirror script : it should keep symlinks inside the mirror as symlinks, but for symlinks pointing to something excluded from mirroring, it should download the file. this way i could burn a complete hamm... andreas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
