Hello, I'm currently a DM and was approached by the developer of the rear [1] software to ask if I could take over maintenance of the rear package in Debian [2], as it hasn't been maintained for about four years and is therefore quite outdated. I contacted the current maintainer, Frédéric Bonnard, via [email protected] on July 11 and September 4, but unfortunately, I didn't receive a response. Does anyone know what's going on with Frédéric? What is the current Debian process for adopting the package? What further steps do I need to take?
