So in this case the Release Team doesn't need manual work here
and can spend time on something else.

I bumped the bug now to avoid early autoremoval

I agree with Simon that it's like making a gamble.
The downside of a non-perfect autopkgtest result
would be a bigger debdiff to scrutinize.
