For one particular install I did, Debian was the ONLY candidate --
Redhat's boot disk didn't probe for ide2 and find the CD-ROM drive (hdf),
while hamm's (of late March) did. I see no reason why Debian's disks
cannot be just as good as Red Hat's. However we rely on volunteers
to test them on a wide variety of hardware.
