Thus someone could look into that situation. debian-devel isn’t the right place for this, as has already been explained. If you think that a maintainer is MIA, the right place to communicate that is the MIA team; see https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/MIA (https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/MIA) for details. If you have noticed that a package is out-of-date, the right place to communicate that is the bug tracker; check the package’s existing bugs to make sure there isn’t already a “new version available” bug, and if there isn’t, file a wishlist bug. It can't in these cases just wait a couple of years before updating. Debian is built by volunteers; sometimes people’s priorities change, other aspects of life take precedence, etc. Regards, Stephen
