Humans tend to err a lot. Even a small slip can foul the imitation. Moreover, if someone is doing mistakes the same way while imitating, it becomes possible to find who's doing the imitation.

Human brain is very good at unwritten statistical analysis and cross-correlation, it seems.


Perhaps our policies need to evolve to expect (or require?)
cryptographic signatures from DDs in mailing list discussion.

Not all people here are DDs anyway.


However, I think signing e-mails is a good habit and hygiene.
