I'm not sure whether or not "experimental" is appropriate for gettext, then. An alternative would be to place the packagen on a web site somewhere and remove it from the Debian ftp site altogether. Of course, there are also possibly (probably) non-free packages that sit in project experimental and so we couldn't just include that directory as-is anyway. Perhaps including project/experimental isn't such a good idea after all.
