Probably it would be a good idea for Debian GNOME to install USB Guard by default to mitigate this threat. I haven't evaluated how user friendly the GNOME management of it is though, nor whether the interface results in bad security decisions by users. With USB input devices on desktop systems, usbguard makes it easy to get yourself locked out and need to force a reboot, as I found out the hard way. -- bye, pabs https://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
