My employer currently uses this exporter and since I have already packaged it inhouse, I wanted to also share it with the Debian community. I feel that the package would be useful to service providers and network operators who wish to monitor the health of e.g. BGP peering with Prometheus. I will maintain this package with the help of Debian Go packaging / Prometheus team(s).
