Ubuntu seems to pull at arbitrary intervals rather incomplete packages
that end up in LTS releases, and upstream gets flooded with bug reports.
Yes, Ubuntu has a Stable Release Update process[1], but this is probably
better discussed on an Ubuntu mailing list, rather than Debian.
