IRAF (Image Reduction and Analysis Facility) is a general purpose software system for the reduction and analysis of astronomical data. This was in Debian until ~2004 [1], packaged by Zed Pobre, which then was removed; mainly due to the licensing problem of IRAF (which are resolved now as IRAF in in Debian since a while). The package itself also contained some code that is not conform to DFSG, notably the HTML and Table widgets. This code will be removed in the package.
