Indeed, if someone uses that pile of junk, it should at least be updated frequently and as automated as possible. There's https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=791761 which hasn't seen action in four months, so people using flashplugin-nonfree could speed this up by proposing patches in the BTS.
