Do you need to be wanna-build compatible? There are several other buildd systems that are easier to set up, but of course have pros/cons compared to W-B. Depending on what you want to do one of these might be suitable: Rebuildd (Very simple, everything-on-one-box, some limitations) Debile (Nice but firewoes is not packaged yet so hard to install right now) Pybit (Reasonably capable and packaged) My favourite is currently the last as the database agravation you are suffering is largely dealt with for you by db-config-common, and it's actually installable, and can do more than just one arch. The designs of pybit and debile are largely the same. (Python, message-broker-based, web front end, master, database and slaves, all of which can be distributed, or on one box). Mind you it seems like you have got far enough with W-B that it is worth persevering at this point. This mail is more by way of general info. I guess we could do with a wiki page on this subject.
