- start from a debootstrap --variant=minbase squeeze chroot - apt-get install aptitude - aptitude install ~pimportant ~pstandard - apt-get install --no-install-recommends kde-window-manager - sed; apt-get update - apt-get dist-upgrade and it worked. What did I miss? Do you have the /var/lib/dpkg/status from before upgrading? Cheers, Julien
