$ inkscape --version
Inkscape 0.48.3.1 r9886 (Dec 29 2012)

$ dpkg -l inkscape
ii  inkscape  0.48.3.1-1.3  amd64

So, I would say this is odd.


$ sha1sum openlogo.svg
f958ec1c5eaf8c8507e64444830852292081fca1  openlogo.svg

could you confirm this on a file that you have 

wget http://www.debian.org/logos/openlogo.svg
