The "we link against everything and do everything in the same address space" design of gnome-shell is a PITA. Now libgnome-bluetooth is able to crash my shell. Some design decisions back from the old days made some sense. Not that I'd defend CORBA, but decoupling components does make sense to me for stability reasons. Kind regards Philipp Kern
