I agree. I tried installing debian gnome desktop from CD1 during last debconf and ended up getting a system that does not have network manager or support for suspend: http://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2011/08/msg00172.html Since Debian is universal I can understand that we can't fit the desktop to CD1 but I think we should clearly state that so that users are not surprised by the crippled system they get after the installation is finished. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
