The current version of DEP-5 encourages people to use versioned url for the Format: Field, as far as I can see from the description of this field, and the way the examples. However, using the proposed expression in the description of the Format: field (line 137 of rev 174): http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/dep/web/deps/dep5.mdwn?op=file&rev=REVISION yields an 400 error, because svn.debian.org/wsvn is being rewritten to http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc, and the op=file operand is not valid for viewvc. This is a minor issue,but I would propose to change it to http://svn.debian.org/viewvc/dep/web/deps/dep5.mdwn?revision=REVISION if the Format field should point to a specific svn version of the document. However, as far as I understand from [1,2], one might expect a more readable and stable url as soon as #609160 is fixed. In the mean time, would you recommend to use http://dep.debian.net/deps/dep5/ as a valid Format: url?
