i'm about to package tkfont, which IMHO is different in style to xfontsel (nicer in some ways, worse in others). The original description follows:
It's a superior (IMHO) replacement for xfontsel written entirely in Tk/Tcl. It's much prettier and much more useful. And it's only 14k to download!
