As current maintainer of the iceweasel and xulrunner packages I'm
curious to know what kind of problems you have that makes it not a "very
simple maintainance". AFAIK, you should only need a couple backports
(off the top of my head, debhelper, nspr, possibly nss, sqlite and
cairo).
