That's why I've said optionally,... as far as I understand the FHS (http://www.pathname.com/fhs/pub/fhs-2.3.html#VARTMPTEMPORARYFILESPRESERVEDBETWEE) it is still allowed to clean it up,... it should happen just less frequently.
