One solution would be: * pick the more common installed setup (maybe the one from d-i), and configure dependencies for it * provide documentation on how to easily change headers * provide example init.d files for most common setups, with some documentation on how to install them. That way, people could chose what they need. It has to be done before the first reboot, so maybe a warning when creating a new setup would be necessary too (and at least provide a safe default setup, thus the d-i based one?)
