No! If feel the need to quote us, please do it at least correctly! Reinhard did not say to "ignore the patent issue". He asked you to stop throwing oil on the fire, as the whole media patent story has already been chewed through several times on different lists without leading to any satisfying results yet (see #522373). Using the next best media library ITP to pick this topic up again won't help either. And I did not say you should "concern yourself with patent issues". I did say you should concern yourself with the current multimedia situation in Debian. I takes some 5 minutes of research to find out why specific packages are present in both Debian and d-m.o.
