It is intended for ARM developers and cross-compilers and is not needed by normal users or developers. --- I'm not really sure how I will package gdb for arm cleanly, as there is no gdb-source package available. The gdb-avr and gdb-m68hc1x packages bundle the DFSG-cleaned gdb-6.4.90 source.
