I suspect the concern here is dynamically linked libraries. Suppose myapp is linked against libposix (for whatever reason). Suppose libfoo.so is linked against glibc (for whatever different reason). Finally, suppose that myapp links against libfoo.so. When this happens, what breaks, how badly, and how obviously?
