Any idea when the warning will be dropped? IMO the warning, and support for files without .conf, should be kept active in Debian at least until after the release of Squeeze as users may have added local modprobe.d files without a .conf extention. In that case the first time they would see any warnings would be during a lenny to squeeze upgrade. Cheers, FJP
