defoma-app and defoma-font act on a specific application/font that is being installed/removed. Converting this kind of thing to use triggers is more difficult than things like fc-cache that just scan all available files. I am not familiar enough with defoma to speculate about whether they could be redesigned to be suitable for use by triggers. -- see shy jo
