Netsend is optimized for linux: splice(), madvice(), congestion control algorithms (bic, cubic, ...), etc. There is currently no plan to port it for other operating systems, there is currently no demand.
As someone who occasionally uses GNU/kFreeBSD, I would then ask you to please set the Architecture field appropriately; that is, please don't set it to "all", unless you want a bug (and porting help).
Also, madvise(2) is apparently BSD, and even if it's not, it can be substituted with posix_madvise(2). So if splice is the only system call that isn't portable, it should probably be easy to port.
