Well, I don't think the ability to edit menus, be it for adding the Debian menu or something else, is a core feature. We're talking about the default behaviour here and the default GNOME installation is gnome-desktop-environment. Anyway, maybe we could add alacarte to gnome-panel's Recommends: to avoid that. -- .''`. : :' : We are debian.org.
